AUDITION DEADLINE – May 30, 2026<\/strong>
\nAll recording must be received by this date.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

To join the Nova Scotia Youth Wind Ensemble, you must do two things:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

1 \u2013 Submit an Online Application Form<\/span>
\nAll returning and NEW applicants must complete the registration form.
\n<\/strong>
\n2 \u2013 Submit a Recording<\/span>
\n<\/strong>All returning and new applicants must submit a recording.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Please record a audio (mp3) and\/or video (mp4) share it as a link (from Google, Dropbox, or a private YouTube video)
\nor as an attachment with Hope Gendron (nsywe@eastlink.ca).<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

You must send all Three Parts<\/strong><\/span> of the following recorded items. Do not rush when recording your audition. Take your time!<\/strong> The NSYWE auditions committee will evaluate your audition and listen for the helpful items below. <\/strong>Fast excerpt<\/strong> – Use a consistent tempo, accurate rhythms,
and efficient technique. Have an awareness of the style of the piece.
Slow excerpt<\/strong> – Use consistent breath support, beautiful tone,\u00a0good intonation, dynamic control, appropriate articulation, & awareness of musical phrasing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
